  What is your modus operandi as regards your BNI referrals, both given and received? Do you simply move from one referral to the next, or are you keeping track of what you fed into the network and what you received from it?

Alongside you’ll find a tracking system devised by Ivan Misner (as published in his book “the worlds best known marketing secret”). This provides a great way of keeping abreast with your referrals. Are you “giving” enough in order to “gain” your just deserts?

Evaluation forms an important part of plotting your progress. It is important to remember that although we’re all networking to grow our business that there is also intangible personal growth that occurs that cannot be plotted on a chart or indicated on a table.

BNI also nurtures self-confidence, increases communication skills and grows friendships. Whenever you focus on Rands and cents, don’t loose sight of the big picture: you don’t just invest money in BNI for the sake of your business; you invest time, effort and attitude in BNI for the sake of yourself.
