Taudata Consultants (Pty) Ltd - How it all started!

The story starts where I joined a specialist recruitment company in 1999. Being the first employee of a new start up, I was heavily involved in getting everything in place and up and running, something I was both well accustomed to and really enjoy doing. Not too long after I joined BNI. Although actual referrals where slim, I loved the professional interaction and the opportunity to spread the word about Taudata. Taudata grew from strength to strength, securing several large corporate clients. Some time later, the current Owner directors decided that recruitment was not really where they wanted to be and they decided to sell the company!

Over the years I have developed a passion for what I do, being a recruitment agent and placing highly skilled personnel in the areas of IT, marketing and finance. I immediately recognized a possible ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity, to manage my own business and doing what I love to do. I took the leap and formed a partnership with a colleague. We bought the business and it was thanks to all the BNI members who formed our support structure and became our invaluable suppliers that we have gotten to where we are today. Gordon, a business banking specialist and BNI member helped us with funding options to acquire a loan and in setting up banking structures and needs. An accountant at the time a member of BNI stepped in to help us manage the financial aspects, Fred designed a top class web page for Taudata, Reg assisted us in all our printing needs and today we still use all of our BNI members as expert suppliers and support services to Taudata.

My business has since grown substantially and we have just been appointed as Recruiter Of The Year 2005, (small agency category) for the entire country. It has been with the support of BNI members, that Taudata has become what it is today! At the Career Junction Awards, Taudata Consultants (Pty) Ltd was elected as Recruitment Agency of the Year in the Small Recruitment Agencies division!! Wanda Olszewski Mother City Chapter Cape Town
