Jane,

"Referrals don't always happen immediately when you join BNI. It takes time for people to get to know and to trust you. Be enthusiastic and passionate about what you do. After 2 months I am now there. Preiss Brink was the first to see the potential in me. Thanks Preiss and to everyone who support me. I sincerely appreciate you all."

A quote from me; use as you see fit:

"One of the unexpected benefits of being an active BNI member is meeting people who, for example, have better marketing skills. In a casual discussion, one of the members vastly improved a marketing idea I had had; I am confident that in time it will bear fruit."

Be Committed,

I joined BNI several months ago and my week does not feel complete if a business appointment out of town prevents me from attending our Wednesday breakfast meeting, I have become totally committed. The members of the "Pelican Chapter" are more than networking associates, they feel like an extended family, you feel that you can share anything with any member. I am so very grateful to be a part of the closest group of people I know.
